Game Play and House Procedures
Banking
All poker games at HKPH are player banked by a participating player. As a courtesy to the player bankers, the house will verify incoming cash and chip transactions to ensure correctness. Chips must remain on that table since they belong with that table’s bank. When starting a table or transfer of bank, banker is determined by dealing low card, starting from seat #1, ace being the highest, deuce the lowest, suit ranking from highest to lowest: spade, heart, diamond, club.

Disputes
In the case of a dispute, the floor supervisor’s decision will be final.

Language During Play
English and Cantonese are the only languages to be spoken during play. Use of other languages may result in a dead hand.

Attention to Action
It is each player’s responsibility to follow the flow of the game.

Playing in Turn
Players are required to play in turn. Influencing the action by stacking up chips to call or raise before it’s your turn to act, or by holding your cards in a manner which gives away your intent is not allowed.

Influencing Action
At no time should a player or spectator make statements that could unfairly influence the play of a hand. This includes commenting on the cards you folded before the end of play, or talking about the possible hand combination present on the board.

String Bets
String bets and raises are not allowed. Players must place the total amount of their bet or raise into the pot in one motion or announce
their intention verbally. Dealers will be responsible for calling string raises.

Splashing The Pot
Players should place their calls, bets and raises in the appropriate space directly in front of their seat. Throwing chips directly into the pot is not permitted

Making Change
The dealer, at the completion of the betting round, will make change for oversized chips. Players may not make or take change from the pot or the bets of other players.

Show Down
At the completion of the action any player at the table may ask to see a hand that was called but not shown, or any hand that was shared with another player during play (show one, show all)

Table Stakes
All games are played with the amounts present on the table at the start of the hand. No chips may be added or subtracted from a player stack during play. Players must keep all of their chips on the table and are not allowed to cash out any portion of their stack while still in action.

Oversize Chips
Single oversized chips placed in the pot when facing a bet will be considered a call unless that player states raise.. If a player initiates the betting with an oversized chip, the size of the chip will be considered the size of the bet unless a lesser amount was stated by the player before the bet was made.

Odd Chips
For tied hands In split pots, the odd chip will go to the player closest to the button. In Hi/Low games, the odd chip will go to the Hi hand.

Side Pots
Pots will be split as evenly as possible. When there are multiple pots to be split, each pot will be split separately.

Deck Changes
Players may request a deck change if they notice a damaged or marked card. Deck change will be at the discretion of the floor manager.

Raise requirements
If a player puts in a raise of 50% or more of the previous bet/raise but less than the minimum raise, he or she will be required to make a full raise (minimum) or to fold and forfeit the chips already in the pot. An all-in bet of less than a full raise does not reopen the betting to a player who has already acted.

Misdeals
Exposure of one of the first two cards dealt will be considered a misdeal. Exposure of two cards during the deal will also be considered a misdeal. Players may be dealt two consecutive cards on the button. Only dealers can call a misdeal.

Counting The Pot
Dealers are not allowed to count the pot for the players in limit and no limit games.

Table Hands
For a player to be awarded any chips from a pot, the player must table the entire content of their hand. Showing one card does not constitute a complete hand. Players may not read hands that have not clearly been tabled, however players should attempt to ensure that table hands are read correctly. Once a hand has been tabled, it cannot be killed.

Showdown
At the end of the last round of betting, the player who made the last aggressive action in that betting round must show their hand first. If there was no betting on the last round, hands will be showed in turn moving clockwise starting from small blind.

Calling for a Clock
After a reasonable amount of time has passed, players may call for a clock to be put on a specific player. One minute will be given to the player, followed by a 10 second countdown. If the player has not acted by the time the countdown is over, the player’s hand will be dead. Players abusing the clock rule may have their clock use privileges suspended or revoked
